The Internet is a democratic medium. It allows everybody to not just consume, but produce themselves! In this course I will talk about all the basics you need to know to do just that with good quality. This includes everything from voice training over lighting techniques and video and audio recording to encoding. The materials of the class are videos hosted on youtube, which will be updated at least weekly. There is no fixed schedule to this class.

Video recording basics This chapter explains the basics of cameras: aperture, shutter speed, ISO, noise, framerate. Also camera techniques like BSI, IS, as well as various ports are explained.
Lighting basics This chapter very briefly talks about different types of light like fluorescent, HMI, tungsten, and which to choose. Also difference between soft and hard light and a very basic introduction into lighting techniques.
Microphone basics This chapter talks about the basics behind microphones. Types of microphones as well as terms surrounding them are explained.
Audio recording basics This chapter talks about audio recording, including the right recording environment and ways to soundproof your studio. Some audio editing techniques are briefly explained. This chapter will be not be software specific.
