It is highly recommended that you have either:
-Mac with built-in camera, built-in mic, and Garageband
Or
-PC with built-in camera, built-in mic, and an audio editor.
If you don't have an audio editor, Audacity is a free program which is basic in function and allows you to record in about the same way Garageband or a standard DAW will. Any issues with how to use Audacity will be addressed when the time comes around to use it.
If you don't have a functioning built-in camera, a built-in mic, or either on your Mac/PC, there will be a work-around when it comes to assignments and projects.

I have been playing the guitar for about 8 years (playing's a bit rusty recently due to school). I attended music school at the RI Philharmonic for the first two years of guitar playing. I have done (still doing, counting roommate) private guitar tutoring sessions for beginner guitar players. I am attending Full Sail and have experience with Logic, Garageband, Pro Tools, and MIDI. My musical tendencies lean towards metal/alternative rock music.
