This class is designed to help students from beginner to intermediate learn the fundamentals of Flash Animation and become more familiar and efficient with the program. Throughout the course you will learn how to correctly use the built in flash tools and learn important animation techniques that can be used with many other animation programs. I will do what I can to help individual needs and questions.
- no lectures added
Students should have basic computer knowledge.
I will be using Windows 7 for all my classes, but for those using Apple computers, there shouldn't be a big difference. (hot-keys will be different)
You will need a copy of Adobe Flash Pro. A trial version can be downloaded at: www.adobe.com/go/tryflash/
(classes started September 15th)
The current plan is to post new tutorial videos weekly and answer questions throughout the week. I will post each Lesson onto r/janimation with it's lesson number. Students can write their questions, suggestion and comments under each lesson post created
Lesson 2: Shapes, Symbols and Tweening
Lesson 3: Basic Animation Techniques
Lesson 4: Character Design and Advance Rigging

Lesson 6: jAnimation Flash Tools!
(The lesson plans might change to accommodate the class)
If you enjoy the course or find it helpful, karma goes a long way and helps motivate me to continue helping others interested in the animation arts.
I will also have a donation box for those feeling particularly generous, to show appreciation for the time taken to put together what I believe is a professional level course.
I've been in the animation industry for 7+ years and worked with various animation packages on many Animated shows and games. I recently finished a job working on a soon to be released PS3/Vita game "Guacamelee" as the lead animator and was responsible for a large majority for the player and enemy animations in game.
A slightly outdated demo of my work can be seen at: http://artisanimation.com/mywork
